What We Compare

One Review, Every Option On The Table

Whether it is power, gas, or both, we check commercial electricity rates across the whole market rather than working from a single supplier list - giving you a genuine business electricity comparison, not just one quote.

Electricity

Business Electricity

A whole-of-market comparison on your current contract - we look at the price per kilowatt hour you’re paying now and benchmark it against current small business electricity pricing across the market.

Gas

Business Gas

We check commercial gas rates across UK suppliers - including the cheapest business gas rates for UK care homes and other regulated sectors - and flag your renewal date so you don’t slip onto a pricier out-of-contract rate.

Where the MHHS Rollout Currently Stands

Market-wide Half-Hourly Settlement is a market-wide reform, not an opt-in service - suppliers are migrating eligible meters as part of an industry-wide programme rather than businesses requesting it individually. The milestones below are programme-level figures from Ofgem/Elexon reporting, not a guarantee for any specific site.

Migration began 22 Oct 2025

Central MHHS systems went live in 2025, with meter-by-meter migration starting from this date over a roughly 18-month programme.

~80% migrated by October 2026

Programme reporting has targeted around 80% of in-scope meters being accepted into the new arrangements by this point.

Full migration deadline: 7 May 2027

All suppliers are required to have migrated every remaining MPAN into half-hourly settlement by this date.

Electricity only

MHHS is an electricity settlement reform - gas metering and settlement is not part of this programme.

How It Works

1

Tell us about your business

A short form, or a quick call - either way, it takes about two minutes.

2

We look at your options

One of our specialists checks your current contract, usage and renewal date.

3

Speak to a specialist

We call you and talk through what’s available, in plain English, with no pressure.

What Information We Need

To give you the most useful review, it helps if you can provide:

  • Your business name and postcode
  • A contact name, phone number and business email
  • Whether you need electricity, gas, or both
  • Your current supplier and contract end date, if known
  • An approximate idea of your energy spend or usage

Don't have everything to hand? That's fine - fill in what you can and a specialist can help with the rest.

Half-Hourly Meters - Frequently Asked Questions

A half-hourly meter records electricity use in 30-minute intervals rather than through an estimated usage pattern. Historically, this was mainly used for larger commercial and industrial sites.
